PORTLAND (WGME) – The University of Maine Tick Lab is reporting an increase in the amount of ticks sent for testing this spring. University of Maine researchers say the increase in tick specimen submissions is likely due to COVID-19 measures: people staying at home are going outside more often, but it’s what people aren’t doing that worries scientists.
